<--- follow that
link.
Sure you would. Well, let me tell you that it
IS like Rocket Science. Don't be fooled by people saying it's
easy and you can learn everything you need to know free. It's
not easy, it's not free, and it IS a lot of hard work and
research. Including sorting out the garbage advice from the
productive golden treasures.
Search engine optmization is a skill, requires
constant updates and it just so happens, it's what I
not only enjoy, I have experience and a proven track record,
see my examples of
getting listed in the number one results of Google. I'm
experienced in search engine marketing, optimization and both
black and white hat techniques. I know exactly how to get
your site listed quickly, efficiently and VISUALLY from
the start of creation to the continued development and
enhancement of your search engine results.
By visually I mean that your potential local
customers who don't have a clue what your website address is,
WILL FIND YOUR BUSINESS ONLINE.
Another important piece of this puzzle is
this:
Just because someone can build a website and
can talk about search engine optimization on their site, does
not mean they KNOW search engine optimization. Knowing search
engine optimization and specializing in it is the difference
between someone understanding how to drive a car and build a
car.
Before you hire anyone to build your site or optimize
it, I recomending you do a little research
first. Here's how you can test your web designer.
Go to their site and visit their portfolio section.
Find one of their clients URL's. Look at the clients type
of business. Let's just use a example of a business that sells
Water Lillies here in Redding. The first thing I'd do is go to
Google and type in Water Lillies in Redding or something to
that effect.
What are the results? Can you find that
business within the first 10 results? How about the first 30?
If your website is not listed within the first 10 results, it's
going to receive very little attention. If it's not listed
within the first 30 results, it may as well be invisible.
The MOST common mistake that people make is to
assume that their web designer understands search engine
optimization. This is just not the case. The internet is
changing everyday. It is hard to keep up with all the changes.
Web designers should understand search engine optimization
as far as the design is concerned but most of them do not.
Many web designers fail to create some of
the basics to the foundation of a website, which are an xml
site map, robot.txt and a search box. However, the greatest
offence that I have seen is the absolute most vital part of any
web design and that is the title tag. I am always shocked when
I visit a web designers portfolio and see they have
created totally useless title tags on their clients
websites. It's even worse when I read that they claim to know
SEO and even talk about it on their site. Yet, they don't
include it in the design of their clients sites.
There should not be any extra charge to create
a properly optimized site if you are the designer. Yet, I see
this mistake all the time and I see it in companies that have a
huge client portfolio.
The bottom line is this...
A poorly designed site can and will deprive you
of your online potential and by potential I mean profits.
